Kahit sabihin pang nagtraining si Nancy Binay for many years.

Philippines What is Happening?
The Philippines has been named as Time’s “Most STUPID Country to Elect a 20-Year OJT as a Senator”. - Time Magazine.
Oh my God. Seriously? Face palm. Shame shame. Are most of us really that stupid? Why do most of us elect people not that competent then complain in the latter part? Why don’t we just think deeply on who really deserves to be elected in our government?
The problem about the most of us is that we use popularity as means to determine who deserves to be seated in the government instead of their competence, intelligence, capability, ability and dedication. More than that, we think that their surname represents who they are and what they can do. I mean, they think that when you come from a well-known family, it is for sure that you’d be like them. As the saying goes, “Kung ano ang puno, siya rin ang bunga.” But, are you really like them? We all know according to Biology that no two persons are identical. So, despite being the child of a well-known person we can’t say that we are like them because we have differences. And this differences makes you who you are. Do you think that just because you are popular and from a well-known family you already deserve to rule? What about the education you had? I thought education matters so much that’s we spend almost 15 year or more of our life for it. The experiences you’ve been through? Those lessons that it taught us. We all know, not all well-known people came from rags. Some of them were already rich even when they were still unborn. They never experienced how is it not to eat three times a day like the beggars and the squatters do. They don’t even walk in the streets were normal people would. Maybe they even haven’t tried riding jeepneys, mrt’s, lrt’s or any public transportation. They never experienced the hardships of life like most of us did. “Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote.”
We all wanted change. Change for the betterment of this citizenry. However, most of us still choose to elect those people who has been fooling us. How can we have this change we dream of when we don’t make it through our precious and valuable votes? Why do we allow them to be bought? Ruling is not a joke, game or gamble. Lives of billions of people are at stake in here. But it seems to be that, we, my fellow countrymen, are not giving the right value to these things.
I am disappointed that those who deserve to be seated are on the bottom list of the race. However, those who haven’t proven anything are the ones on top. How I wish I could turn back time and experience Marcos’ regime. Even with Martial Law present, I guess Philippines wouldn’t be as hopeless as it is now.
