Now that @mkmalarkey has teased us with the promise of music news before the end of the year, I couldn’t be more excited and I know we all feel the same because that’s what we were all waiting to hear. Creating and producing a whole LP is not an easy and cheap process, so I am well aware that, as for Mongrels, this will require time and resources. Sadly, during the process of making 'Mongrels' the crowdfunding platform that Michael had used to generate the capital to create the record went into administration and all money was absorbed by their debts. This left Michael to not only finance the making of the record but also pay to manufacture and fulfil all of the pledges that we had made as his fans. Unfortunately the finances couldn't justifiably stretch to manufacturing the limited edition vinyl release as the costs were too much. A few of Michael’s fans were affected by that mess, but thankfully not too many unlike a lot of other artists who had used Pledge and couldn't afford to pay to respect their fans contributions. This is also the main reason that Michael hasn’t been able to direct funds to new music or tours in the past year, so I’m only more excited that we are getting news in the next month! Writing, recording and touring as an independent artist is incredibly difficult with high costs and restrictive timeframes but Michael is determined to continue to deliver the highest standard and flow of music he physically can, he has promised he will see us in 2020.
