The most unforgettable sudden flash mob in Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival :)
We were all starting to get drained from the non-stop dancing and singing so we decided to take a break and lie down on our cozy mats..
Until the group, The Lightswitch, right beside us started dancing to the music.. Their energy was passed on to us. We couldn't let our last night in the festival end just like that. We didn't let the moment pass. So we copied their simple dance moves and just started to have fun.
We did not realize how big the crowd got. Filling almost half of the amphitheater. Everyone started to join. Strangers became friends. Theres something about an event like this that cant be put into words. How do you go about describing the thrum of a crowd moving as one? How do you talk about something that just can't be talked about, only experienced?
Experiencing this amazing music festival drove home the fact that truly, "No man is an island."
Once you've experienced dancing with tons of people, not talking, just moving to music you all enjoy, there's no way you could insist that we are not social creatures. We communicate so much, even without words. And when moments like this happen, grab hold of them and don't let go. All it takes is 20 seconds of courage and you'll have friends, memories, moments that last a lifetime.
