It sucks

Today, one of my closest friends since fourth grade told me something that happened to his family and it tore my heart to pieces. Here's the most jolly and bright person I know, telling me how he's depressed because of one person's actions. How do you tell someone everything's going to be alright when you have no idea what they are going through? He has such a bright future ahead of him and I know he knows that. Don't forget to tell people that they're worth so much more than they will ever know. Cliche? Yes. True beyond compare? Most definately.
