As you can see from my icon, I’m not yet completely ready to part with Halloween (though I have my winter design lined up, will probably change soon)
If you want to enjoy some late Halloween fluff - I’ve found this cute story on ao3:
Burnt Pancakes by @dontblinkamelia - basically: High school AU, Cinderella story, Operation Malec <3 very cute :)
Magnus rolled his shoulders, letting out a soft groan as the pain leeched from his aching muscles. He had spent most of the day helping Catarina with her new wards and it was no easy feat. He just wanted to go home, open a bottle of wine and cuddle with Alexander. When he first stepped through the portal into his penthouse, he thought he had mistakenly gone to another place. His magic sparked at his fingertips in surprise when he recognized it was his penthouse. It was just vastly different. He knew that this morning there were not spider webs hanging off his lamps or a fake skeleton lounging against his couch. The most surprising thing about the room were the amount of pumpkins. Ten pumpkins on the counters, fifteen resting on his couches. There were another ten on his floor. They were all shapes and sizes but they were also all colored in the same ghastly orange. Magnus warily took a few steps forward into the room. "Magnus? You're home earlier than I thought you would be." Alexander came from the bedroom, two more pumpkins snuggled into the curve of his arms. A costume witch hat drooped adorably on his head and it made Magnus melt. Yet, he was speechless. He knew Halloween was approaching but he never knew Alexander was so enthusiastic about the holiday. Alec must have seen the expression on his face, because the confidence slumped from his shoulders. "Is this okay? It's just I really love Halloween. Shadowhunters aren't supposed to celebrate it but you said make yourself at home so," Alexander hesitated, worrying his lower lip between his teeth as he observed the room. "I may have gone overboard." He admitted, smiling sheepishly. Magnus overcame his shock and finally offered Alexander a soft smile. "It's perfect." He took one of the pumpkins from the shadowhunter's arms and then leaned up and kissed him softly. He hadn't celebrated Halloween in ages but he already knew this one would be by far the best one in awhile.
