      “My family can stand to have one Christmas without me, Mal. Besides, if I know them like I think I do, they’ll be dragging the holiday here to Auradon before the day is out.”

      By family, of course, he meant his dear friends. And although they weren’t thrilled that he wouldn’t be home this time, he knew they understood. This time of year, Audaron High was completely devoid of life -- except for a few students. Four, to be exact. Kids who, unlike everyone else, couldn’t exactly go home for the holidays.

      Quasimodo choosing to stay with them felt more natural than it probably should have.

      “Have you ever decorated a tree? Because if you haven’t, you’re about to learn,” he said with a smile, lugging a box of ornaments under his arm.

      “Mal -- as much as I appreciate the, um...” Sentiment? Was that where it came from? “You trying to defend me, but you know that doesn’t justify cursing another student, right? Even if it’s just their hair.”

      Quasimodo wasn’t sure how he was going to explain the situation to Fairy Godmother, considering her strict “no magic” rule. The other professors, of course, will pin this on him too, since was the one who took their defense when the idea was first put into place. But he wasn’t concerned about them right now.

Jun had never thought he’d end up off of the Isle of the Lost. He had resided himself to staying there forever; forever trying to earn his father’s recognition and forever trying to please both him and his mother. When news came that they were allowing more villain's kids to go do Auradon, moreso news that HE was being allowed, he wasn’t to sure what to think. His mother of course wanted to him to go - but his father never said a word. That was unnerving but Jun Young left anyways.

It was great, for awhile. But all of a sudden, as soon as night hit, it suddenly felt like a very bad idea.

“Mal---Mal I don’t feel so good.” Honestly, he barely spoke to Mal. On the Isle or here in this school, they exchanged hellos and swapped notes for class every so often but he hadn’t been to buddy-buddy with her. Surely not to warrant him suddenly stumbling up to her, gripping onto his shoulders so he suddenly wouldn’t fall down. It’s a little to much contact for people who have barely spoken, but he didn’t know who else to go to. His mix matched eyes are glowing an almost odd amount, especially for someone who’s eyes never looked like this before. 

“Something’s wrong--”

What They Wanted

“Awesome. Really hope Mal’s got a a plan for the magic-y stuff, because I sure don’t. Her call though, right boys?”

The man’s murmur trailed off in to a soft whine as a hand gestured for the back of wolves behind him to quicken their pace, the trot of the five that had decided to follow him all but to slow for his taste. The usual devil smile that accompanied his trips throughout town was broadly evident on his face, secretly enjoying every second that he and his pack had the towns attention. A bark of a laugh came from his lips as he realized how easily a path formed when you had several angry looking pets in your tow, and if he had found time to remissness about his past fear of dogs, he would almost find the scenario humorous. But what was done was done, and as his pace grew even quicker in the hopes that he wouldn’t be late for whatever task he had been asked by Mal to help with, thoughts of his old life quickly vanished.

A swift, gloved signal as he gestured for those in his tow to quickly halt as they approached the once home , his other hand found itself knocking on the frame to the door as he already jiggled the handle and allowed himself a small step inside. Heads tilted on several of his companion animals as they poked heads over the threshold, Carlos could only hope Mal wouldn’t hear his bickering with the animals as he awaited to be told what exactly was going on.

“Back. ‘Cmon. You can’t just poke around. Hey, Mal? You’re favorite nerd is here, what exactly did you want me for again?”
