My quick edit-cosplay on Maleficent!
Halloween evening had a success☺
The film, by the way, is outstanding!
Remember how my mother and I went to the first part in 2014, and how we cried in the final at the time when motherly love was designated - as the real one. Incredibly beautiful picture.
More than a month ago, i had in my head a clear images of Joker and Maleficent and the ways in which we need to achieve them. And if everything was more or less clear with the Joker, then for Maleficent, who I wanted to do with such a light, with such a sun, just as a portrait, and in the style which were in the end of the movie - everything weren't easy.
The Joker turned out way easier - I desperately needed the sun to realize Maleficent. But here, Oh Gods! The sun was shining on Wednesday! I needed to get that photos, and i had to do this with the way, that after fairytale editing the photo would not not look flat! A cold wind was blowing, and I didn’t feel good with dropping the mantle from my shoulders! The difficulties in the camera cannot be changed - i needed as much quality image as a could get. I needed to draw the horns in detail. There are no any images of the horns with the same light on net, so i had to do this by myself. The same theme with wings. Another trouble - cheekbones, because of them my face stopped resembling mine, and in addition to working with the light on the face, I was worried about making the makeup not as black as in the film, because the similarity with me would be completely lost.
Until recently, it seemed to me that there would be some kind of sucks, but in the end it showed up nice, warm. And most importantly, it’s exactly what I wore in my head for so long, and my heart was breaking from the last rays of the sun in October, and from the inability to make what I had planned...
Well... Now I calmed down🤣
