was bored tonight, so I decided to restore my new Malibu PJ (while I thought about how, as someone in the UK, I probably won't ever get a certain other Steffie-faced Barbie)
The biggest problem with her wasn't age, or the nick in her nose. Her factory paint was awful.
It was splattered, darker on one side and so squint, it was as if she was auditioning to be a 2023 Fashionista. Sometimes wonky factory paint adds character. This was not one of those times.
I cleaned her up, boiled her hands to get rid of the chew marks, filled the nose dent, and repainted her, trying to balance out the factory paint as I went along.
I'm pretty happy with how she turned out! I'll post another update when I have an outfit and I've made beaded hair ties.
