This Malina's quote is one of my favorites. It shows, that Malina genuinely cares about Kuzco's future and wants him to become a good ruler. She really tries to help him grow as a person.
Also, this moment shows us one of the sweetest parts of their dynamic: Malina doesn’t just criticize Kuzco because she’s annoyed with him, she criticizes him because she believes he can do better. In my opinion, that’s what makes her feel like Kuzco’s moral compass. 💗
