Or I could adapt one of Ramon Llull's diagrams to create a directed graph of pairwise comparisons of all the cafés I've visited this week, and find the strongest path in the graph.
I'm not making this up: that is exactly what the Shulze method does, though it replaces Gloria, Bonitas, and so on with the names of the candidates for election. Unless one of them is called Gloria, obvs.
On second thoughts, my much younger self had the right idea about ordered lists. Asked to say which one of some set of options I liked best, I replied, "The which one I like best is all of them." So there.

And finally… chapeaux to Sixt for this dad-level farewell to Mallorca.
A further bus took me to the airport, where I could have bought an ensaïmada as big as my head; but I am no longer burning 2,000+ calories a day going up mountains, so I walked on by.
Mallorca seems much smaller when you're on a bus rather than a bike. A short siesta after getting on in Pollença, I was in Palma.
Here I discovered the terminus of the "wooden train" that takes tourists to Sollér, and from there to Port Sollér on an equally old wooden trolley-car. I had passed the entrance to the train-tunnel on the way up the Col de Sollér, and marvelled at the narrowness of the gauge.
I also found an excellent cafe, much better than it looked from the outside. Many things in Palma seem better on the inside, probably because for much of the year, you'd rather be out of the sun. They served me second breakfast of yoghurt with fruits and granola (with lots of almonds, which I love) and orange juice freshly-squeezed with ginger. It was all delicious, but I don't fancy cycling in Palma, however good the cafés are.
