no hero can save everyone. but a real hero never stops trying.
archer was having enough of this hero bullshit at this point, he knew that was all bunch of fucking lies, he knows one can’t save everyone even if one tries hard enough.
‘a real hero never stops trying?’
a scoff came out of his lips, what a bunch of crap, honestly he just said that everyone can’t be saved but then why he saying that one shouldn’t give up trying? how can one achieve something impossible? there is always a consequence on one’s actions. you can’t save everyone, if you pick one the other will be left there to their demise, you can’t take both at the same time or else everyone will be most likely killed, he tried, he honestly did all he could to achieve the impossible but whatever he did it never came to the results he wanted and so he learned the ugly truth.
a hero can’t save all lives even if he tries hard enough.
he gave up at that point and one thing was sure on his mind, he wanted to meet his other self, the foolish naive man he was back then and change his mindset or at least kill him to end his miserable existence, he knows the ugly truth of this and he doesn’t want him to become the man he is now, one that hates any form of heroism. eyes landed on the male who uttered such stupid words, gaze almost piercing through his body like an arrow.
“you’re such a fool thinking like that... one day life will teach you the ugly truth and i bet you won’t say those words the same way you did just now...”
