Kalista is particularly happy for the duration of the Lunar Revel because during that time in Ionia people worship all gods, including minor ones or ones who are looked down upon. Because Kalista is considered a high enough myth she is treated in a rather luxurious fashion for the week, receiving many food offerings at her shrines as well as many other offerings, such as candles, good wishes, etc.

During these weeks people fear her less as her presence is said to remove thoughts of seeking revenge for the coming year if spotted during the lunar revel, and is generally seen as a figure of peace and tranquility as she doesn’t show up in places that are loud and obnoxious.

Kalista, however, just is happy because for once she isn’t being avoided. People see her as a good luck charm and even leave her gifts which makes her absolutely giddy for the entire week. Her spirits lift significantly and she becomes a rather positive and outgoing person as more people pay attention to her.
