MAM Chiloe - Museo de Arte Moderno Chiloe. El Museo de Arte Moderno Chiloé existe desde 1988 y desde entonces mantiene su carácter de Territorio Independiente del Arte. Official Member of Res Artis Worldwide Network of artist residencies.

Lucky Pinhole ha sido seleccionado para participar en una residencia artística en el mes de Febrero en el Museo de Arte Moderno, Chiloé.

Estamos muy contentos y entusiasmados por esta gran noticia, iremos a realizar un proyecto fotográfico estenopeico y pronto les iremos contando más detalles.

Exposición Colectivo Mamíferos de Patio en Museo de Arte Moderno deChiloé - Diciembre 2012

Proyecto realizado por el artista Chileno Daniel Marceli, durante la residencia del colectivo artístico al cual pertenece Mamíferos de Patio, la cual finalizo en la exposición "Dinámicas de Flujo" en el Museo de Arte Moderno de Chiloé.

highlights from the other side of the world

so im living on a mountain in a regrowing temperate rainforest very near the most southern tip of South America. working with amazing artists in this huge barn-shaped residency house with wood stove heating on cold nights. about 27 degrees here in the days though - shorts and mesh. wool sweaters when it`s raining. starting my mornings with Mate and local 25 cent avocadoes and fresh tomatoes. across from us is the amazing art museum which began 25 years ago (as did I) as a protest of the Pinochet dictatorship with a padlocked shack and a sign saying national art gallery of Chile which sort of accidentally became the real thing. performed a huge costume action in the main square as the Cailleach Scottish Winter Hag - more about that later . . . getting drunk in the grass with three generations of chilean artists for the opening of their very impressive anniversary group show. cute boys a-fucking-bound. amazing lunch with famous Mapuche linguist historian and communist in his gorgeous treehouse. driving out of town into the hills to cut gorse for costumes and stopping to chat with some drunk farmers who take us over a few hills to farmhouse for fresh Chilean bannock and his nephew who gives us free lamb`s leather and wool and the chilean single-bisou goodbye. bouncing around in a combi van crankin the crack box. frosen pisco sours and 3 buck liters of wine. chatting with local journalists about my work. swimming at the beach with the tide almost pulling our watermellon with it into the pacific. new writing projects in this sprawling studio. really givin 'er on the tarot study. breaking into a Roberto Bolaño novel. discovering that Scottish gorse is the gorseous bush that grows everywhere here. up to 90% percent comprehension now of Chilote Spanish, except if it`s an old dude - then 3%. 9pm sunset jogs down and then up the valley gorges along the dirt road through the forest, watching the southern cross spin in the gathering dark as i crest the peak, little bonfires catching in the next valley and the sliver of new moon rise and fall (waxing on the left - how queer!!). and standing beneath the trees just outside my bedroom window, I can see the snow-capped volcanos of the Andes. falling asleep every night to the sounds of dogs barking, exhausted and delirius with happiness. how the hell is this only my second week here?
