What a marvellous day yesterday, with two sold out shows... "Lady Sings The Blues" - celebrating 100 years of Billie Holiday at Melbourne Recital Centre... Thank you to Miss Chief - fearless, flawless, fabulous, fierce musical directress - to Daniel, Jasmin, Blake, Kirsten, Kerstin, Di, and all at the Melbourne Recital Centre; to Sue, Yo, Anne, Mark, and Holly; to Blondie Bar and Entrecôte; to Sarah Walker Photography; to all our friends, family and fans who came along to our two performances today; and a special thank you to Mr Stephen Moylan, Ms Betty Ann Bobbit and Ms Yvonne Gardner for their gorgeous gifts... An American actress (older Australians might remember her from a certain prison drama) who as a very young woman met Billie Holiday and saw her perform a few times, came to today's matinee. She adored the show and thought we did The Lady proud... I am just blown away... xx
