The reason psudo-Kaori/"mamadori"/Yūji's mother has forehead scars very similar to Kenjaku-Kamo & Kenjaku-Getō but not quite the same/hers look healed/healing maybe is because they're the result of an experiment by Kenjaku-Kamo on the mother of the Death Paintings. Chōsō assumed he and Yūji are related via Kenjaku-Kamo because he doesn't know that his mother was/is still alive somehow too.
