I’m a bit confused. That anon, were they saying the person was tracing your art, or drawing in a style similar to yours but different pictures? Because, it’s okay for people to have a similar art style, but copying by tracing or recoloring is not. Just confused is all. Cause sometimes people’s art style change depending on what inspires them.

Well, being inspired by someone is fine!! Even building an artstyle that feels similar or uses lots of the same techniques! That’s fine. That’s learning and finding your footing. I understand.

But when I say copycats I mean more like. Almost indistinguishable, having similar sets of characters, trying to replicate everything. It’s fine to be inspired but at some point it moves past being “inspired” and more “duplicating”. It’s a difficult line to define but it’s noticeable when it happens.

And I know some people are still okay with that!! But me personally, with my history of art tracers, it makes me uncomfortable.

Kinda? Like some have to be prescribed but they help you sleep. One you can find in the vitamin isle at the store. It’s called melatonin. It’s naturally occurring in the body, but it just helps you sleep better when you take it.

oh I know melatonin! but nah I don't think we have it, I actually don't have any sleeping problems so I never went to the doctor to get prescribed with any. I'm just having difficulty sleeping tonight because 1. I'm home alone for the first time in my 16 years of life and 2. I'm too excited to wake up in the morning hahaha
