[It has, indeed, been one whole year since I started this blog!

It's been an incredible journey. I started it because I had not long finished my sonic animatic and was getting bad withdrawal from not drawing sonadow on a daily basis 😅 that, and I was a month into a bad chronic pain flare up and needed something to take my mind off it. I expected it to last a few weeks, maybe a month, and then people would get bored or I'd lose motivation.

How wrong I was!

I never could have predicted any of this. The way the hedgehogs have grown (haha), the community built from followers, the way I've grown as an artist and a writer... None of that was planned or intended, but I am so grateful for every moment of it and feel so blessed to have been a part of something kind of big

I remember working on Wedding 2.0, releasing each part, seeing people get excited about when the next one was due to drop and all the chatter around it was just so overwhelmingly positive. That was one of the greatest experiences! And then, of course, dipping my toe into some of the angsty arcs... It was really exciting to get to experiment with different ways of building collaborative stories, mostly flying by the seat of my pants and letting you guys guide what happened.

An unfortunate mix of burnout (thanks to my job) and yet another pain flare up (so bad I couldn't get up off the sofa last weekend) keeps me from drawing anything special to commemorate the day... But please know I still love these hedgehogs and I love all of you and I will return when the time is right 💜
