Tips for Passing the CPA Exam, Part 2

In the last of our two-part CPA exam preparation guide, we divulge more winning tips and strategies proven to help you pass your test.
5. Take Practice Tests As part of your study routine, search online for practice tests. Take one or two a week, then write down the questions you got wrong along with their answers, and research the answers to better understand the question.
6. Study with Friends Make friends with peers who will be taking the test at or around the same time that you have scheduled, then organize study sessions. Ask the group questions that have stumped you and be prepared to help them answer their own questions. Finally, take practice tests together, compare results, and help your fellow studiers learn the correct answers.
7. Create a Study Chart The amount of material to study will seem daunting, so compose a study chart divided into different areas and goals. Focus on the areas written on your chart, then hold a review session at the end of the week where you look over everything you have covered thus far.
8. Stay Healthy Studying late into the night and forgoing sleep will impede your concentration and memory, as will eating unhealthy foods. Maintain a proper diet through the scheduled test date and get a full night's rest every night if possible. Even if you feel uncertain about the material you’ve studied when you go to bed, getting plenty of rest and awakening with a clear head will give you a brighter outlook on your tasks and enable you to concentrate more fully on your work.
