I just started watching Steins;Gate and I’m like ‘wait a sec, is that fucking Dazai?’ (only bc I’ve most recently watched BSD)
Dude has got such a well known voice and yet I really feel like each character (the popular ones anyway) is their own
It floors me that he voices Tamaki in OHSHC, Light in Death Note, Zero in Vampire Knight, Masaomi in DRRR!, Death the Kid in Soul Eater, AND Dazai in BSD
Admittedly though, he might be Dazai to me forever from now on even though I became familiar with his voice through earlier roles.
I also really love Hiroshi Kamiya as well. I think it’s so funny that he voices Ranpo from BSD, Izaya from DRRR!, Zetsubou-sensei in SZS, AND Natsume from Natsume Yūjinchō (among other roles too bc apparently he voices charas in Angel Beats (love love love) and Noragami))
He’s got the sweetest tone to his voice as Natsume and the most taunting as Izaya which is so funny to me. I love him the most as Natsume.
I genuinely wonder how the voice recording process goes for anime and if the actors get to interact a lot with each other in the process. I think they probably do.
