Dear ____, We were so brutal to one another. I remember the first time we ran into one another. It was that moment that I knew you would somehow wedge your way into my life. How though was a mystery. Your laughter was so contagious. The tone in your voice, especially when you were so passionate about something was so beautiful. Even when it came to how Monsanto was ruining things for people all over. Down to making sure I was putting the right amount of things in the soil. "Rotating crops is important." It was the little things. You grew on me and man. I was so young. But I didn't realize the power I have deep inside me. Not until those things happened and our world's were turned upside down. Sometimes I wonder if I had done things differently. If the outcome would be better. I still think about T. I know he misses his mom so badly. I think maybe, maybe if I were older then, it wouldn't hurt so bad from time to time. But, maybe not. There are a lot of those what if's in life. Yes you'd be kicking me in the ass now. But, a promise is a promise. Yes, I almost did settle. No, I'm not hurt I'm healing. Yes, I still will. No, she does still care and I'm working on it. I think there will always be hard times. When you love the way we did. Everything is different but beautiful. I will always find peace in that beauty. For no soul can ever understand. Maybe you were right about it but maybe not.
