February Chills 3 is out today, and I’m looking forward to everyone listening to it. This has something for everyone whether it be about being single, in a relationship, or trying to figure out any phases in between. 

Big thank you to everyone who has played a part in this project. Thank you to Windstar for both featuring and producing a track (”Lie To Me”), SuperStar O, Tone Jonez, Naydee, and Josh Wells (finally used that beat from 5 years ago). Thank you to both Charlie Uptown and jLaSol for coming through with features that compliment the respective songs you’re on. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it. 

There were a lot of unfortunate things that have happened that aided in the creation of this project, but I’m grateful I was able to channel it all into an art form I sincerely take pride in. Don’t get me wrong, there are happy tracks on here too, but you will definitely feel the vulnerability, honesty, and openness a little more in the tracks that are not.

P.S. - When I say “wake up to and sleep with” in the opening track, I literally mean sleeping next to someone.

The Origin of My Artist Name

My full name is Eric-Manuel Arenas. This leads to many different nicknames given to me over the years: Eric, Manny, EM, E, E-Man, Manuelito, M, ect. When I first started doing hip-hop, a couple of my friends would play my music for people, and while they were listening, those people would say “Ayye Manny’s ill”. It was then suggested to me that I should just call myself Man’E Ill.
