Food Scandals in Lebanon following the current world trend
NEWS: Just as the world is coming to terms with the shock discovery over the horse meat scandal in France, Lebanon is reeling in shock over revelations made today that the zaatar mix used to make Man2ouche could in fact be any number of ingredients, but chances are it isn't thyme....
We know times are tough in Lebanon, and with them only set to worsen people are really cutting down and finding cheaper ways to provide services, but using spoiled Kaak or bran as a substitute (and not even using zaatar) just destroys the man2ouche institution in Lebanon.
There goes my favorite man2ouche topping of zaatar and banadoura. With the previous meat and dairy scandals in Lebanon, it doesn't really leave many other options.
