Project Managers Should Know Techniques to Monitor and Manage Workflows
Project managers should know techniques to monitor and manage workflows. Outdated software and processes can be efficiency killers. This article provides some techniques for monitoring and managing workflows. You may want to use one or all of these techniques to manage your project. We'll discuss each of these in more detail. Let's get started! Here are three tips for monitoring workflows. And, as always, be sure to check out our video tutorials to get more tips.
First, make sure your workflows are mapped out so that employees know exactly what needs to be done. Make sure employees send completed tasks to the right person for approval. It has been estimated that employees waste 10 percent of their time on duplication of work. Duplication of tasks is the result of poor visibility into business processes. Mapping out your workflow will help you find any redundant tasks. You can use these improvements to improve your workflows.
Second, consider orchestration. Orchestration based on workflow engines provides the biggest advantages. Rather than using a single, proprietary system to monitor and manage workflows, it can be easily deployed to real workflow engines. Then, you can see the flow in real time. Finally, you can also use workflow engine software to create complex orchestrations. They're developer-friendly, lightweight, and scalable, and can scale to hundreds of processes. Ultimately, workflow engine software is the best solution for monitoring and managing workflows.

Now Collaborate with Your Team on Engaged!
We're excited to announce our Team Collaboration features are now available on Engaged! Here's how it works:
Find a mention or post that you would like to assign to a team member so that they can respond.
Select the small drop down menu on the far right and click Assign.
You will then be able to enter a message and select which team member the post should be assigned to.
The Team member will receive an email notification informing them that a task has been assigned to them.
They can then respond to the task from within Message Box > Tasks. They can also collaborate on the task and post comments/questions.
Once they've responded to the task, they click Mark Done and the user that originally assigned the task will be notified that the task has been completed.
We've also included the ability to manage team members and approval workflow from Engaged for our multi-user plans. Team administrators can now specify exactly which user needs to approve content before it gets published. To learn more, contact us.
