Nami Island and Petite France ~

It’s hard to make this photoset look like it wasn’t just one narcissistic photo after the other, but really who am I kidding. That’s why we go to these kinds of places isn’t it?  

Another early travel day! We were up at the crack of dawn - actually no, we were up maybe two hours before dawn - to catch our 6 am train to Gapyeong station from Seoul. We took a taxi to Nami Island and managed to catch the very first ferry, making us one of maybe 15 visitors on the island. You know what that means... amazing photo ops. NO people in the background. Look at that beauty. 

The leaves had mostly all fallen onto the ground when we went, but that look also had 一番風味. I’m not sure how I would say that in English. Like it had its own aesthetic so to speak? It was really beautiful and I could see why one may be tempted to go more than once in different seasons. Just imagine how it would look with snow! or cherry blossoms! We all took turns being models and photographers, then it was time to say bye to Amanda and head to the Gapyeong Rail Park.

The track itself was sort of boring with not so great a view. There were constantly rail bikes in front of us and real cars besides us. Sort of took away from the adventure of it. And the rail bike behind us was SO annoying WOW. They kept speeding up super fast and then breaking an inch from our bike. It was giving me such bad anxiety I hated them so much. But look at that beautiful BW photo I took of Louise and Suzanne.

Then we went to Petite France which was a bit of a disappointment BUT it’s okay because I was reunited with two loves - Paris and Manager Do. The first was easy to reunite. A quick hug and all my yearning was satisfied (minus my phone call tonight when I almost convinced my mom we should fly to Paris in February ie. the middle of the winter). The second one however, was strong. 

“CAN YOU FEEL HIM HERE. MANAGER DO IS HERE, I CAN FEEL HIM” - me every five minutes. They had TV screens playing that pivotal scene where Mr. Do MinJoon makes all the lights appear and BOOM flies her toward him for a beautiful, beautiful kiss. My HEART. It was nice to be in the exact place they filmed My Love from Another Star and to feel once and for all what Cheon Song Yi must have felt all the time - his presence.

But I realized that nobody lives to die. What’s important is that moment they’re alive. So even if the ending was decided, they could be happy and live on. It’s so simple, but it took me so long to realize.

Kim Soohyun trying to grow out of being 'manager Do'

Kim Soohyun had a mini talk-show at a Samsonite Red event on the 13th of March in Chungdam-dong, Seoul.

At this talk-show, Kim Soohyun revealed that he was trying very hard to grow out of his image as 'manager Do' from "You Who Came From the Stars".

When asked how he was spending his time now that the popular SBS drama had finished, he answered that he was catching up on all the sleep he had missed out, preparing for a tour of Asia whilst also trying to grow out of being 'manager Do'.

Furthermore, when asked what kinds of clothes he preferred to wear, Kim Soohyun wittily answered, "I like comfortable clothes, so Samsonite Red would be perfect for people like me".
