Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior, Gapyeong, South Korea. [X]
Interior photo gallery of the Light of Life Church designed by Shinslab Architecture tells the story of the resurrection in #Gapyeong, #SouthKorea 2014. The surface of the Dome is formed by the ends of the cut red cedar trunks. Unlike cut wood that is laid down horizontally, all trunks are standing upright like the trees of the forest; 834 unique pieces, seem to tell the story of the resurrection. None of these pieces are wood, they are trees. Sunrise above the clouds, Mt. Bonapsan, Gapyeong.
Topping out at little more than 300 meters, Mt. Bonapsan is not a high peak. It does, however, overlook the Bukhangang River, in whose narrow valley low-hanging clouds gather in the early morning, especially in autumn.
