Absolutely enchanted by this sand mandala at the San Antonio Museum of Art, created by actual Tibetan monks and allowed to be preserved by special permission from the Dalai Lama.
To preserve that which, by its nature, should be transient, so that it can be shared. The inherent tension in taking away that which gives it significance in order to educate countless others.
