Angle of Mandible Reduction This adolescent girl has asymmetry of the face with right-sided hypertrophy of her masseter muscle. She wished to undergo angle reduction surgery. A retromolar incision was made and excess muscle tissue was excised. The gonial angle was also reduced with a burr to reestablish her facial symmetry. Care was taken during surgery to ensure that there was no injury to the overlying facial nerve.
