NO PROBLEM!!! you chose the right keyboard i think. honestly if i was introduced to a Model M or F first i would feel so spoiled because typing on any other modern clicky switch except for maybe the kailh box jade/navy would be significantly less satisfying to me. the sound is still incomparable to anything else you can find on the modern keyboard market. are you buying the keyboard from unicomp or from ebay? if it’s the latter, then i would be careful since a lot of people THINK they know shit about keyboards but are selling a rubber dome keyboard instead of a buckling springs one. this happened to me and the seller was suspiciously rude when i pointed it out.

YES. i’m sure you’ve already done your reading all over the place before committing, but i gotta say. the keytravel is incredibly smooth. it’s got a short and sharp tactile bump but the bump itself has a low resistance. it also occurs lower down the key travel, which i find very desirable. the weighting might be a little bit stiff for your tastes at first but once you get used to it, it’s hard to migrate back to any other clicky switch in my opinion. the sound is absolutely unmatched by anything except for maybe complicated ALPS switches. i promise you it will last you a long long long while too. a decade in mint keyfeel and decades more of perfect operability.

one thing to note though is it has a low key rollover if you’re going with a membrane buckling spring keyboard like the Model M which is most likely the case because Model Fs (that have PCBs and inherent n-key rollover) are astronomically expensive. it usually is not a problem at all, but only sometimes some keys on the leftmost cluster don’t register properly when holding the left shift key because of the clash between this limitation and my typing style.
