TORI HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE THEY ALL SOUND GREAT
okay but I will choose. what is “manda’lor Anakin” and “jotun Thor”
Awww thank you Kylie!
Mand'alor Anakin
This is a concept that lives rent-free in my brain but currently consists of a bunch of snippets somewhat-connected by a vague plot. Here's a baby snippet:
The Darksaber hums excitedly in the Mand’alor’s hand, the crystal’s unique frequency harmonizing with that of Anakin’s own Force presence. The Darksaber was not a simple weapon, but an extension of the Mand’alor’s will, of himself. The weapon belonged to him and he to it.
Jotun Thor
This is something I last touched in... *looks at version history* early April of 2020. Another concept that lives rent-free in my brain. There are some good Jotun!Thor fics out there but a lot of them are basically just smut which, while totally valid, isn't my thing. My take on the trope is basically a role-reversal in which Thor was the one from Jotunheim instead of Loki and features Laufey as a terrible dad and Odin as a good one.
The trip from Jotunheim to Asgard is fast, and Odin is glad to be back home. After arriving in the Observatory, Thor staggers and falls flat on his face, an expected reaction after traveling via the Bifrost for the first time.
He walks over to the prince, holding out a hand to help him up. While Thor glances at the offering, he staggers to his feet on his own. Odin ignores the sting of disappointment that briefly flashes through him. He cannot expect the boy to immediately trust him.
Thor stares at the sight that lays beyond the Observatory: the vibrant rainbow bridge, which leads to the glimmering, golden city of Asgard. The Jotun looks mesmerized at the sight, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape.
Odin nods at Heimdall, who has been silently watching the events both in the Observatory and across the galaxies, in greeting. The watcher nods in return. “Welcome to Asgard, Prince Thor,” Heimdall says. The prince jumps, whipping around at the Watcher’s voice. His gaze roves up and down the large man, his hands slightly fidgety. The Jotun looks as if he wants to say something, but is stopped by his nervousness and uncertainty. However, Heimdall sees the question in his eyes. “My name is Heimdall, and I am the watcher and guardian of the Nine Realms.”
Thor processes this information in silence, looking slightly overwhelmed and unsure how to respond. He settles with a simple and quiet “hi,” meeting Heimdall’s gaze for a brief second.
