"jaster, now in technicolor" v2
can you believe the very first time I drew jaster is two and a half years old.
four and a half hours later, i have finished 'republic commando: hard contact' for the first time.
inchresting tidbits. not my usual speed but overall enjoyable. definitely made me coil up sometimes with tension of 'oh god what's gonna happen next on this shitheel OP' lmfao. some thoughts and highlights below.
highlight (or. lowlight? kal what are you on about): kal apparently calling jango a sociopath as a weird way of telling his boys about fear.
also a highlight:
i am Thrilled by the framing of mandalore as a dead empire. 'museum-piece uniform' like they are already a dead people, that there are people like hokan seemingly grasping at a glory mandalorians haven't had in *four thousand years*. love the brief implication of long history.
also i am choosing to interpret this as a kotor reference so i'm Inhaling it of course.
people talk about kal feeding his lads uj cake but i rarely see people talk about kal being like "read this childrens book about what it means to be mando". Also, despite never physically appearing in this book, Kal sure is mentioned fucking EVERYWHERE. KT we know who your favorite guy is. to be fair he is also my favorite guy. love how his spectre haunts this book. the three skirata trained lads are thinking about him constantly.
I'm not screenshotting all the truly horrendeous bits about how the clones were treated on kamino. but holy shit. there's a bit where Niner talks about one of his squadmates *blowing his own head off* in a training exercise. others talking about live fire at the equivalent of Eight. droids hovering around them even while they're eating and 'correcting behavior' intensively enough no one ejver disobeyed for fear of the droids.
god what the fuck. can't wait to read Triple Zero.
(PS. darman and etain's whole thing is still weird. i don't Wike it.)
revan
drew reference for my revan, verus raan, for my very. extensive "revan trains tarre vizsla" au.
it eventually devolves into a 'revan in the clone wars' au thanks to @glimjack (this is all your fault)
if anyone.... wants to know more about them or this au..... speak to me...
The Righteous - Chapter 9

>>Read Chapter 1!
Excerpt:
“Alor Mereel. What a busy few days you’ve had.” He didn’t have to listen hard to hear the acid in her voice. He hadn’t quite expected that venom right out of the gate. “Just putting you through your paces, neverd’alor. I apologize for the fire in your skies.” "The sudden firefight above my planet is, unfortunately, the least of my worries right now, Mereel. What I’m less thrilled to hear is half a dozen of my Protectors ready to quit in favor of working for you, and a new House forming in your name.”
One year to the day since our last update, @glimjack and I have a new chapter for your perusal. Enjoy!
the nite owl and her owlets, c. ~35BBY
slapped some colors on this doodle for my 'arla fett is the original nite owl' headcanon. yes that is baby bo-katan and baby ursa wren.
arla is not as nice of a teacher as this makes her seem, rip. also the year might be off i can't do math lmao
it's so incredibly funny every time i'm reading fanfic and someone makes the vaguest reference to canderous ordo i'm just like
HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
hot take: the mand'alor as leader of a sector makes mandalore a theocracy
@yourlordship told me to post this for some Spice
i say theocracy because, despite mand'alor being commonly translated as 'sole ruler', the technically more accurate translation is "soul ruler", as manda refers to Spirit or Soul
i think mythosaur were herbivores. that's it send tweet
