Ross Imagine for Amanda (mandymay123)
It had been the day from hell at work. Two separate meeting no-showed and my partner was sick, leaving the work of two people for one. I was exhausted and it took all my strength to make it through the door of my apartment.
"Ross, I'm home," I dropped my bag and slipped off my heels, barely making it to the couch before crashing.
"Hey, babe. How was your day?" I could hear him shout from the next room. All I managed to get out in response was a drawn out sigh, "So not so good, huh?"
"No, not really."
"I'm sorry, sweetheart," just then, Ross walked around the corner into the living room. He was shirtless and wearing holey jeans.
"My day just got a little better with that view," I smiled at him.
He laughed, "Glad I could help," he winked, "Seriously though. Do you want to talk about it?"
I shrugged rubbed my neck, "Nah, I'm over it. Just tired. Mind if we just stay in tonight?"
"No, not at all. We can order take-out and I'll watch a movie while you fall asleep in the first five minutes," he looked at me for a response, but I was still rubbing my neck, "Is your neck bothering you?"
"What? Oh yeah, I guess it is. I must have pulled something today."
"Here, let me do it."
"Ross, you don't-"
"No, I want to. You just relax and think about what you want for dinner."
As soon as Ross placed his hands on my neck, I really relaxed. Years of playing guitar had made his hands rough and calloused, yet completely gentle. He managed to be successful in making the aches go away without the pain that usually accompanied working out a pulled muscle.
Just when I thought I couldn't be anymore relaxed, Ross began to place small kisses at the base of my neck. Between kisses, I could hear him whisper I love you. I was so lost in him that I forgot all the drama of my work day. Every part of me was completely calm. Ross left one last kiss on the side of my neck.
"Feel better baby?"
"Mhmm, thank you," he came around to kiss me on my lips and forehead.
"Anything for my girl. Now, what do you want for dinner? I'm ready for that movie."
