tell me about your book !
Gladly!! Although it's actually the first in a planned five-book series and last week I spent multiple hours explaining the basic worldbuilding and plot to one of my friends, so you may want to be a little more specific ;)
I'll start with the basics, though. My working title is The Seven Kingdoms but only because I haven't come up with anything more creative :( I might keep it as the series name, though. We'll see.
Essentially, the titular seven kingdoms are all islands and they make up an archipelagic empire, but one of them is having Issues and seceded from the empire a century or several ago. This book follows a young girl named Ilse who runs away from that kingdom and seeks asylum in the empire's capital. She gets placed in a school and starts to make friends and learn more about the world outside her homeland. Towards the end of the book, Some Things Happen, but I won't spoil that unless you want me to.
(you may have actually read the first few chapters of this when I wrote them last fall but I've added a lot to this idea since then, not to mention actually figuring out the overarching plot of the series and making a loose outline of this first book)
