Hi Wil. This is a personal question, and if you don't answer it, I'll 100% understand. I noticed you have the Pride flag in your profile picture. Are you, by any chance, part of the LGBT community? (Not that you can't use the flag if you aren't, I'm just curious. No offense meant and I hope you have a wonderful day!)

I’m a Cishet white guy who lives life on the lowest difficulty setting, with the “celebrity” cheat enabled. Some of the most important people in my life are in the LGBTQI community, and I can not believe that these amazing humans have to struggle for the rights and privileges I take for granted. The very least I can do is use my privilege to support equality and spread love for my fellow LGBTQI humans. My pride flag is a small thing, but I hope it gives some comfort and reassurance to anyone who is feeling marginalized, bullied, unable to live their lives out loud, or questioning the validity of their identity.

The power that Memori has is beyond comprehension. They managed to survive things that would doom most other ships, not only becoming THE epic love story for the entire series, but one that had a happy ending! The Dead Zone didn’t starve them, ALIE couldn’t claim them, Praimfaya didn’t burn them, Earth dying wasn’t the end for them, The Primes couldn’t outwit them, and they managed to give the Grim Reaper the middle finger through a miraculous loophole. They defied the odds every single time because they knew that what they had together was worth fighting to the bitter end for. And the chemistry between Richard and Luisa is something out of this world. They’re the diamond in The 100′s rough.

If they don’t make Leah and Fatin a thing, then they’re losing out on a big opportunity, because these two have something real interesting together. Granted, it’s been a bit since I’ve watched The Wilds and I’ve forgotten about some of the finer details about the series, but their scenes together showed some great tension and chemistry. It would be neat to have another wlw ship in the show, and I have some hope it’ll happen because they’ve got a solid ship base that’s gaining popularity.

Y’see, this is the ONLY way I could EVER accept Raven getting involved with Murphy and Emori because Emori’s still respected and valued in this arrangement. Also, the arrangement would most likely be Emori’s idea and not Murphy’s out of a want to explore her sexuality(our girl is so bisexual, it hurts), because I think she fell in love with Raven up there in the Ring. She deserves to figure things out with Raven and not be forced to choose between the two of them.

There's a video on YouTube about The Blair Witch Project (it's from Film Theories) that suggests that there was no Witch, but that Josh and Mike led Heather into the woods, intentionally disoriented her, and then led her to the cabin to ultimately kill her, driven by revenge. The theory is more in-depth and has evidence to provide it, it's too long to explain here - but even off the cuff, what do you think of that theory? Does that make the movie better or worse for you? (love this blog btw!)

hi! thanks for the support i really appreciate it!!  i actually haven’t heard that theory before! i tend to take movies at rather face value XD plus i like supernatural spooky stuff, but it is an interesting theory! what i like about the blair witch is how open it is to interpretation it is, so much unexplained it just lets the imagination go wild

re: skipping Murphy on my best and worst hairstyles post - I honestly think I blocked him out of my brain, just so I DIDN'T have to face down the twists, lmao. Also I was getting a bit antsy and wanted to wrap the post up. I'm planning on doing another one with "supporting" mains and he'll be at the top, with his horrid, horrid twists.

You can be forgiven for not wanting to think about Murphy’s hair.  John Murphy likes the clumpy look.  He never took out the twists (ref the desert pictures) and when bored he’s a hair fiddler (ref his lockdown locks).  Look at that last picture.  He stood in front of a mirror and carefully spiked out individual sections.

I feel like the anons arguing over whether or not Ari counts as a teen star aren't grown themselves yet. Adults recognize that everyone under the age of at least 18 (tbh it's closer to 21 for me) is basically still a kid. Obvi there's a difference between literal toddlers and a young teen, but the potential for being taken advantage of or abused is just as serious and likely, regardless of actual age. Exploitation is key to a minor's stardom, unfortunately, and unilaterally. Ari is no exception.

this is also why i hate the split from child star to teen star - there is no reason this would exist except for hollywood exploitation of young persons. There is a legal mandate for young people to be children until 18 (it’s 21 in this country if you were known to social systems) and any reasonable adult would agree that a 17 year old is a child...... unless you wanted to exploit them for time or money or sex or anything that you could get away with so long as they weren’t seen as ‘children’.  ‘Teen’ is a social word, not a legal one and shouldn't be considered separate in the workplace.

Now that Warren has dropped out, who will you be supporting? Biden or Sanders?

Sanders was always my second choice, and he was my first choice in 2016. 

I believe so strongly in his platform, and I would love it if his reforms were realized. But he keeps talking about how there is this mythical unicorn voting bloc of young people who are going to show up and put him over the top against Trump, then once he’s president, that same bloc of young people will storm DC, and force the congress to care about them.

That sounds AMAZING and is something I’ve hoped for since I could first vote, all the way back in 1990. 

The thing is, it’s Fan Fiction so far. That vote he and his supporters keep talking about just isn’t showing up in the primaries. That is terrifying to me, because if he is the nominee, he’s going to need them to show up, and if they aren’t showing up in the primary, I don’t know why they would show up in the general. That terrifies me.

But Biden is a terrible candidate. He will be horrible in debates. He will, if elected, absolutely let Trump and his criminal coconspirators off the hook, because he’s an institutionalist like Obama, who refused to hold Bush accountable for his war crimes. There’s a reason Biden has been running unsuccessfully since the 90s.

All of that said, I will vote for and I will campaign for, and I will max out to whomever the nominee is, because defeating Trump is the most important task in front of my country right now. If Trump gets another four years, America will complete its slide into Fascist Autocracy, and that has to be stopped at all costs.

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

Well, might as well rip the band-aid off right now…I have never seen the appeal of Be//arke…at all. The flags in that relationship are drenched red with blood from open wounds they themselves have inflicted upon each other. They are the peak of dysfunction and codependency, and the only common ground they seem to share is a cemetery filled to bursting with the people they’ve killed. You can’t build any kind of relationship off of that. There’s no real foundation there for anything long lasting and the writers have squandered practically any chance they’ve had to actually make something worthwhile out of them. People claim they get results when they work together, but in actuality, it’s the other characters in the show around them that get shit done.

Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

The writing for his character in the sixth season really took the shine off of Bellamy. His entire attitude towards his supposed family was deplorable. Saying stuff like, “as therapeutic as it to beat up Murphy”(saying shit like that as a joke towards an abuse survivor’s not fucking funny, Blake), calling Echo emotionless, not trusting Emori enough to fill her in on his plans, and pretty much throwing them to the wolves to save Clarke had me raging. You know, for all his talk about how Murphy was the traitor, Murphy did far more to protect his family(even if his methods were incredibly flawed) than he did. He went from condemning the act of genocide, telling Madi not to seek retribution against the Eligius crew to being ready to kill everyone in Sanctum. So much for “doing better”, Blake. 

Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? 

Loathed as his character is(and actor, but that’s another story altogether) by the fandom at large, I found Thelonious Jaha to be completely compelling. His journey from benevolent Ark Chancellor to mentally unhinged cult leader who cast the world in an unholy light was a thrill to watch. I remember going from rooting for Jaha, getting emotionally drawn into the story of the man desperate to reach his people, to being massively unnerved by his actions. His storyline with Murphy in the desert features the best damned writing the series has ever gotten with the second season cliffhanger giving me chills.
