Obsession

The title of strongest is but a word. It can hold weight or be masked in lies. There was once a necromancer by the name of Soul-Crusher who once bore the title of The Strongest Necromancer. It was said that she was, in a sense, necromancy personified having amassed the skills and knowledge of every notable necromancer that lived during her time. But once she reached this peak, Soul-Crusher vanished... leaving the title of strongest up in the air...

An ill-known necromancer by the name of Telhis Romodayn sought to claim said title for himself for he knew his powers, although weaker than Soul-Crusher’s, to be adequate to take on the mantle himself. Why was he so brazen? Romodayn knew that for one to have forcefully amassed so much power and so much knowledge that the consequences would be dire. He knew that Soul-Crusher’s disappearance could have only been due to Magicka Poisoning. However he hoped he was wrong, he hoped he found her in good health so he could crush her beneath his boot. But during the almost three years he’s searched for her, he’s not seen a trace of her... But then he felt a shift in Magicka coming from Markarth, and he felt two overpowering presences one that was brimming full of power, and one that was slowly waning...

Having come so close to what he believed to be his destiny, Romodayn’s thoughts centered on Soul-Crusher and the legend she’d left behind. His obsession on claiming the title of strongest consumed him to the point where he didn’t eat or sleep as he allowed this singular purpose drive him forward...
