Alright let me start off with saying I’m not closing the group down if y’all are still with me we’re still going. My problem is during the month of February I always get very antisocial and my energy levels are very, very low. I am slowly getting myself back together but I do not have the brain power to write the event out like I wanted to -- Also, as I’m writing this I just got the notif for someone asking about this which I totally understand the question.

I think I’m gonna extend the event through one more weekend, because I just dropped the ball and I had events planned for during this event but once more mental health is taking priority but I am not, by any means, closing this group or planning to stop running it / the events, mental health is important. I honestly have barely texted anyone and put my phone on dnd three days ago for bed and just never bothered to turn it off.

I will be postponing the activity check for another week, so there won’t be one next week either just because I know I’ve been feeling horrible and I don’t know when I’m gonna be able to get back on my active game so I can not demand that out of you guys.

This weekend I’m going to write up the party event this weekend and let that last through the week ( begin monday, 2/24 - end friday, 2/28 ) and then we will be back to everyone being trapped in the manor.

During this event your muse will be trapped in the manor, just like reality but still in their delusion. I will have more information on it sunday night at the absolute latest.

tl;dr i’m sorry i’ve been mia, my energy levels are very low as of late and I hope everyone is good :( next activity check will be wednesday, march 4th. we will be having the party event monday, feb 24th - friday, feb 29th

Within the server I have written up some information on it & various text channels you will be able to use. I have also made rules such as any starter call must be posted on your tumblr then linked into the discord and tuesdays and thursdays it will be closed to ensure people are on the dash. 

If I get any questions in the server I will post them onto the main with the answers as well so no one misses any important information, not that I think that’d happen but, you never know!

this is by far, the hardest thing i’ve ever had to write out and why i have not yet made a post on the main after my abrupt message in the old discord. please understand that I was at my wits end at that point, and as of late while this group has brought me immense amounts of joy, all I can think of was the stress I was put under while running the main of this group by myself. as i said previously feb is a month where i personally get very antisocial and out of touch with who i usually am. a big factor is most likely mixed into S.A.D and I’m sending love to anyone else who experiences this wild mood swing.

that being said, this group has brought me a lot of joy and good times. reopening the group was something that i will always look back on with the fondest memories, along with how hype people got during plot drops and developments. i had full intentions of running this group forever, but i lost touch with that drive during the month of february. and now spilling into today, i still do not feel that drive and would rather take a break and try to rework things. of course the manor is still in the back of my mind, along with every member who participated. 

i am not a perfect person, though, and i never voiced when i was feeling disheartened by things. i’m not here or making this post to point fingers, but I ask that in the future any group you join you always remember to read and follow rules because they’re there for a reason. allow me to leave y’all something with something i read during our activity fiasco. when you join a group, you’re part of a team. try to be honest with your coach / admins how often you will be able to participate, because leaving them in the dark leads to frustrating or disheartened leadership.

i wish everyone nothing but the best in any path they take part in, and I hope y’all don’t forget that the shadow man is still lurking in the town of beaver creek, and the guests of the manor still remain in the twilight zone, living their blissful lives. unaware they are in fact still in the manor, in a comatose state having their souls fed on by the soul eater which inhabits the manor.

fingers crossed they are found, and saved by the residents of beaver creek.

tl;dr. manorhq is now closed, meaning I will not be getting on the main again for a while. thank you to everyone who was around and participated and made it all worth while. in the future i may create the next part of the plot into a group, and everyone will always be welcome to join. but running a rpg requires a lot more dedication and time and drive than i have at the moment.

Alright, so the day has come to a close and so has the chaos for me, thus my focus will be able to be on this group and what’s happening about 75%, gotta leave room for trash tv, right? i’m sorry these are awful jokes i’m going to stick to the horror writing. But okay, I don’t know if anyone else reads these or not but I’ve come accustomed to writing up a daily summary. This might just be for me, I don’t even fully know why I started it but here’s our recap!

UPDATES.

An opening time has been established for 4 PM EST, TOMORROW. I feel like this is a good time, but don’t worry if you’re not able to be active yet the activity check still will not happen until january 1st. If you’re still swept up with holidays around then, you can always shoot me a message I completely understand.

A poll has been posted asking if you’d like a discord server. Within a couple of hours we got... A very large response and it may already be in the works, but, as you can imagine I need to organize it and cut down my over talking. So that will possibly be released soon ( the 27th at the earliest ) depending on how the poll runs through tomorrow.

I did write a long post here describing how subplots / wanted connections / staff will go but as a short reminder: wanted connections open the 27th, staff opens the 28th and new subplots will be released by january 1st / sometime this week.

I really wanted an opening event for the group, but time got away from me. So whatever path your muse took in the PRE OPENING EVENT will be classified as a DREAM / NIGHTMARE they had the night before arriving. Don’t worry, no one killed the nice front desk woman.

I will be checking who has sent in their account and who didn’t TOMORROW NIGHT probably some time after 7 PM depending how things are going. I’m not putting too much pressure on myself for this so I can enjoy opening with everyone and take some down time! But the latest it will be done is FRIDAY NIGHT / EARLY MORNING.

A member reached out and mentioned the possibility of an ooc side blog for those who are uncomfortable with discords, so, I will probably set this up regardless considering tags don’t work how they used to! I’ll make a more formal post about this at a later date, though!

OKAY. the holidays are officially over and you know what that means? Time to kick this mother into top gear and back into some kind of routine. Considering you know, clearly there is nothing else that’ll stand in my way. ( other than real life, general fatigue, desire for off days... ) no, seriously lets talk for a beat okay?

I don’t want anyone to be pushing themselves in ways they’re not comfortable just to keep the dash moving. While I appreciate it, and I love seeing people be active and the group progressing I need everyone to remember that this isn’t a race, it’s a marathon. We’re gonna be stuck in this house for a while. So while I urge everyone to have fun before the first event is posted, remember, that we’re not demanding more attention than other more important things.

These things involve your general well being, tis the season for sickness so if you’re not feeling well, that’s okay! take a couple of days off, relax, drink fluids and feel better that matters more than any rpg. If you’re on vacation go spend it with your family or loved ones and enjoy it! We will be here when you’re back to normal and I understand more than anything. I’m not obsessed with being continuously moving and active. 

I don’t care about being the most well known group or anything of that nature. I care about providing a cool experience for our members when they have the time to play in it. This group will be running for a while, which is why I myself am taking things slow in order to not burn myself out especially over the holiday considering I knew most people were busy.

But now that that’s over... I’m gonna be kicking up the promotions blog again, gonna be making sure the main has more queued promotion posts and we’re more visible in the tags. Considering I’ve been slacking a little bit! But more than anything else I still want to say thank you to our members who have been active and keeping the dash moving. It means more than anything else, especially now, a week after opening we’re still going so strong.

You are all absolutely incredible, and I can’t wait to get this first event posted and everyone to experience the chaos that is the manor.

Color us closed -- no I don’t mean like the main isn’t gonna run anymore and we’re not allowed to play. I mean in the sense that, based off the poll, we’re all down for a cap and just to play out the game until a later determined date. 

So, you’re probably asking, what does this mean? 

This means that you are allowed to pick up a maximum of five muses, two of which must be poc, and activity is going to be relaxed. I know we just went through a whole fiasco of what the activity check should be, so it’s still going to be 4+ days of inactivity and 2 replies to 2 separate people, and I will post warnings so it’s incredibly important you at least give the post a like to let me know you’re around!

We will still have events, everything will run like a normal rp I just won’t be promoting in the tags until we reach a point in the plot where it’d be easier for new members to join the game. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions, I’ll always be around!

We are now open for ic interactions ! Please feel free to write your starters as if your muse is just getting to the manor or has been here for a couple of hours at the maximum. Feel free to reference the pre opening event, but remember it was all just a terrible dream from the night before. Below the read more is a text your muse received from Toni, the manager who your muse spoke to through email, the moment they got on the property.

Hey, sorry I’m not there to greet you I’m swept up in some other things but the front door should be unlocked and you can have whatever room you want. Due to scheduling problems, staff won’t be arriving until the 28th so try not to make too big of a mess before they come.

Oh, and there are a couple more things we need you to do. First, leave a review? Just sign onto yelp or google or whatever you use to review and if you leave a five star review, you will be granted private access to the luxury suite on the top floor for one night, free of charge.

There are also a couple of rules we ask you follow, just as safety precautions because while we want you to feel at home in the manor, you should still respect it.

ONE. Lights out by 11:30 PM. That means all main areas can not be lit. The manor is very large, and processing that much electricity is expensive. You are welcome to use flashlights, but perhaps you should stay in bed then wake up early to catch the sunrise.

TWO. No drugs on the premises. This is in order to ensure your safety and the safety of others. If caught with any sort of drug the athorities will be called.

THREE. Clean up after yourself. While we will have house cleaning staff coming on the 28th, we ask you respect the manor and those who live here with you. 

FOUR. Lock all doors and windows. Petty crime has broken out as of late in Beaver Creek and things have started to go missing, especially in the manor. Prior to opening someone stole a painting from the main hall which you may notice upon entering. Fret not, it will be replaced soon.

FIVE. Stay out of the basement.
