You're right about the "ing" part so that's why のが is more proper. 料理が好き is just a shortened version of that which has become really common.

料理 itself means dish or cooking. If you just say 料理が好き it means "I like cooking/like to cook" but if you say something like 中国料理が好き (chuugoku ryouri ga suki) then it would mean you like Chinese food. In that case you would have to say 中国料理を作るのが好き (tsukuru no) to mean that you like to make Chinese food. I'm not sure how to say you like fancy food, but I think you would use some other word.

This way is more proper and used in more formal situations, but 料理が好き has the same meaning. It is just a shortened version which is more casual and commonly used.

Yeah it could be something like that depending on the context. Without context I guess it can be expressed in various ways.

Yeah I was also thinking along the lines of something like that, but I wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to give a wrong answer. I guess I should have attempted it though ><. Depending on context I think it might be one of the following:

「毎日8時間寝たほうがいい」(suggestion)

「毎日8時間寝なさい」(command)

「8時間寝ればよかった」(regret)

「8時間寝ればいいのに」(you should have done it but you didn't)

「8時間寝ればいい」(it would be good)

As for the last one I'm not sure how to say "relive".

There seems to be something wrong with the last kanji you post (the one for movie etc) it looks like it is missing a line connecting the top horizontal line to the box below, I guess it could be the font but it doesn't look right)

Hm yeah you’re right.. I think it’s just the font though. Sometimes it makes the kanjis look funny. Just so people don’t get confused, the kanji is typed here looks like 画, but should really look like this with the vertical line in the middle starting from the very top when writing it:
