I wish I had whatever gene or childhood experience lets you be meaningfully affected or moved by most music. I get a positive effect and feel actual enjoyment from maybe 1 out of every 30 songs I listen to and I'm tired of being unable to appreciate such a huge chunk of art and culture.

My sister has stood firm on the opinion that Shane doesn't deserve Ilya, and I've attempted many times to debate her about it. She's just past the plane crash in TLG mind you. And I can make really well constructed arguments, but often fallback to "have you ever been gay, and so so so afraid? In an overtly masculine career? With a rigid worldview and expectations of yourself?"

Like yes, Shane takes a while to realize how much Ilya has given up for him! But also Ilya spends a lot of time acting like there is no problem at all!
