top 5 Sam moments!
5. Because of who I am as a person: all his dialogue about how great Kubyenka is and how he'll go on a suicide mission if he gets to go with Kubyenka :) boys trip!!!! "If Kubyenka goes, I will go too, of course" seared into my brain. Especially compared to his dialogue when he first meets him and it's just WHAT are you BABBLING ABOUT!!! which is also very funny and I love it
4. "O Adonai! Look at you, Henry! You have studied ^_^" and similar banter. I just love when Sam is silly and a lot of his idle dialogue (idk what you call it when it's just atmospheric/ambient as you're wandering around) with Henry is very light-hearted! You don't really get to see him so relaxed and jokey at any other time except maybe the post-endgame scene
3. Going for Hans' jugular with the jealousy dialogue lol it's partially because I am getting tired of Hans but I just love when it's being interrogated by some stuck-up noble and the Sam gets mean. also bonus: Samry :)
2. Going rogue and getting captured and tortured by Brabant (+ telling Henry to leave without him) - I still refuse to contemplate a world where he doesn't make it out. It's kind of interesting from a characterisation pov because I do think Sam has The Fight in him and I can't imagine that spark going out, but I also think he's smart enough to know Henry probably won't make out if he tries to save Sam, so there's no point them both dying. Or maybe he secretly thought he could still make an escape attempt once he's sent Henry on his way. Who can say. I struggle to read him as suicidal here but it's a possibility, especially after he's just been starved for however long and then beaten to a pulp, and he's lost so many people in the pogrom, and all of his surviving family are far away. Anyway whatever. I love his stubbornness, and what could be called recklessness but probably wouldn't if Henry had been the one to do it. And he looks hot as fuck bloodied and tied up, sorry.
1. Straddling Henry and pulling a knife on him <3 hot hot hot sexy beautiful life-changing his instincts his ruthlessness his protectiveness need him to do that to me for real also #samry
(Special mention to pulling the knife on von Bergow... and the look on his face when he is Not permitted to kill him :'( would have been #6)
