What are some Chair episodes that make you go the most feral?
this question is very important as utter ferality is central to an authentic chair shipper experience.
of course we start with 1x07 - the amount of screeching i do when they kiss in the back of the limo and with me by sum 41 starts yelling… embarrassing, except i’m really not that embarrassed.
2x01 - every single scene… no words.
lowkey 2x02 because i love the banter early in the episode (“squash? i’ll squash you”) and will never get over the scene at the end when they’re so soft and flirty and both just have literal stars in their eyes looking at each other and they say goodnight and she turns around for one last look and a smile… 🥺 i love s2 chair more than i can articulate. the way that they just Know™ that they completely own each other’s hearts without saying it.
2x08 - because it has both the funny banter chair scenes AND the devastating yearning!
2x12 - THEY SET EACH OTHER UP WITH THEIR DOPPELGANGERS… AND THE DOPPELGANGERS FELL IN LOVE…
2x13 - UGGGGHHHHHHHHBSJDSu23ui23ehuij23kenHUDJISKN
2x25 - for the sad scenes because i unfortunately thrive on angst but way more for “can you say it twice? hahahaha. no, i’m serious say it twice.” AND THEN IN BETWEEN KISSES, “i love you, i love you, there’s three. four, i love you.” it’s been however many years and i still haven’t properly processed that scene.
3x01 - because it’s their first episode as a real couple and i’ll never forget the powerful feelings i felt the first time i witnessed it.
3x02 - the way they are kissing each other in the first scene… soft. she literally NUZZLES. also of course the “are you okay?” “i am now.” wish i could breathe.
3x12 - he is emotionally stunted af and it’s painful to watch but the “you carry me” scene just… hits me directly in the heart. one of my favourite lines ever.
3x21 - I JUST WANT TO SCREAM OVER EVERY SINGLE SCENE.
4x02 - i genuinely cannot sit still through the train station scene even after having seen it like 10+ times. they are just so powerful.
4x08 - “for us, a million. the world, zero.” T E N D E R.
4x09 - every scene is wonderful, but particularly “what say we go up in flames together?“ can you say OOF…
4x22 - WE COULD HAVE HAD IT AAAALLLLLLL.
5x09 - HER. LOVE. KEPT. HIM. ALIVE.
5x10 - god we were so close… literally so close. their joy is just overflowing in that limo scene at the end and it makes my heart race every time.
5x13 - eleanor coming to get him because she knows he’s the one for her daughter, him saying “don’t marry him” (which i always think parallels 2x01 when he says “don’t leave with him” but when she asks him to give her a reason he can’t say it… but this time, he’s saying it ALL... will post a gifset someday to illustrate), her telling him she loves him MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY IF IT’S EVEN POSSIBLE TO LOVE SOMEONE THAT MUCH, and the devastation on his face when he’s standing at the end of the aisle and she shakes her head. there is so much to process here.
5x22 - THEY RISE ONCE AGAIN.
5x24 - the monte carlo scene is just… a lot.
and honestly every single season 6 episode, but especially:
6x03 - “you read me like tea leaves, chuck bass.” HE KNOWS HER BETTER THAN ANYONE, JOT THAT DOWN. NO! INSTRUCTIONS! NECESSARY!
6x10 - JUST EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THIS EPISODE IS LIKE ?!?!?!!??!!
