As I had already decided what to eat, I pointed to the Chirashi Set on the Donburi Menu when the wait staff came to take the order. As part of the set lunch, a bowl of Watermelon Cubes and Miso Soup was served quickly.

Chirashi Don (S$25) came with 3 slices each of Salmon, Tuna and Swordfish. Amberjack and Tamago at two slices each plus a generous portion of glistening Ikura to top it all. I appreciated the thick cuts of sashimi, fresh and full of flavours from the sea and the popping saltiness of the salmon roe. As a big eater, I wish there was more rice to go with all the sashimi. Nonetheless, this was one of the better Chirashi Don, I have eaten so far, the fresh thick sashimi slices giving it extra value and taste.

Recently have been craving for Japanese food especially seafood rice bowl (Chirashi Don). The internet has been tempting me with photographs of thickly sliced sashimi atop bowls of sushi rice by Manzoku. And so today, braving the hot weather, I finally made the trip there to savour it personally.
