We are recording!
Monday I will be making my way across town to work with Kenny McWilliams and crew at Archer Avenue Studio here in Columbia, SC. This is the first time I am recording material with someone other than Taylor Bray, who now resides in Nashville, TN. While I don't have any exciting or dramatic reason for this decision (I could go into depth about fuel prices, the Appalachian barrier, and educational workloads), I am excited about hearing The Lovely Few through Kenny and Eric's perspective. Taylor, you will be missed.
I've worked with Kenny on other projects with my friends Austin, Phil, and Emily (former Lovely Few staple). In fact, Kenny is one of the first people I recorded with as Tigerbot Hesh nearly ten years ago. I have been meaning to see what he could do with our material, and after the last Ghosts of the Great Highway record, I was sure that it was time (i.e., they make records that sounds really good).
