You can enjoy the tasty mix of savory beef, crispy bacon, sweet maple onion jam, and melted cheese between two soft hamburger buns. If you're craving a burger, this Bacon Maple Onion Jam Burger is the perfect treat for you!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 slices of bacon. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheese cheddar or Swiss. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Mayonnaise or preferred condiments.
Instructions: Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into 4 patties. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet. In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced onion and cook over medium-low heat until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Once the onions are caramelized, stir in the maple syrup and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened. Meanwhile, grill or cook the burger patties to your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise or preferred condiments on the bottom bun, then adding lettuce, tomato slices, a cheese-topped burger patty, a spoonful of bacon maple onion jam, and finally the top bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
