"Wow, those are loud." It's Swerve, here to probably put his foot in his mouth. At least he's not being tortured by Unicron.

"Most youths are. Giant Turbo Leeches are quiet creatures when they age, but young ones talk as much as we do."

He strokes one, scratching a little muzzle with his finger.

"Would you like to say hello? They just fed so they won't bite."

Tap tap. A technorganic is looking nervously into the room, shifting weight awkwardly between her feet. "Hey. Just wanted to.. see the leeches." Sari doesn't fully understand, and she's a little grossed out, but she can't say she isn't interested.

5 of the 6 leeches are in their tank, snoozing away. The 6th is wriggling about, scooting around in what can only be described as 'day-old zoomies.'

"Perfectly fine." He says, covered in metal tape and sweeping up. "They just fed, so they'll accept touch. If one tries to bite, knock it between the optics."

Not that Dot could keep from grinning at her daughter's attempt, gently poking her nose with one finger. She'd have tried to pull off the same scheme at her age, given the opportunity. The apple really didn't fall far from the tree, did it?

Sinking to one knee, she folds her arms across her thigh with a smile, expression turning thoughtful, wiggling her fingers for a moment as she composes her thoughts.

"Tell you what, though. You get your chores done before dinner, I may be able to see fit to toss in a few more bucks. Just this once."

Tap tap. There's a young Malto girl at his feet, patting gently at his leg. "Hi, Mr. Optimus. Mom's busy doing ranger stuff and she said I shouldn't bother you, but I'm really bored, so can I bother you anyway?" She's putting on her most Dot-like smile, hoping that's a means of swaying him (or threatening him, potentially). (( mo, honey..

Mo is terribly small and for that reason he's acutely aware of her presence. His audials perk at the sound of her footsteps and he hones in the the faint beating of her heart as she nears. For some reason, it sparks something wild and protective over the child and he bends down the moment she pressed her palms against his frame.

"Ms. Malto", he rumbles. "You're never a bother. What would you like to do?"
