We’re at the #Maps3 Convention Center groundbreaking this morning. This part of town is much changed the last few years; it’ll be even more so when the center and Scissortail Park are up and running. #okc #oklahomacity (at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
We’re at the #Maps3 Convention Center groundbreaking ceremony this morning. This part of town is so different than it was a few years ago, and it’ll be even more changed once the Convention Center and Scissortail Park are complete. #maps3 #okc #oklahoma (at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
Here is my personal experience about MAPS. When I worked at Third Degree Advertising (2001-2006) I had the opportunity to work in the middle of Bricktown for almost 6 years. While working as the Director of New Media I built web sites for the Ford Center (twice) and the Cox Business Services Convention Center (twice). I also build web sites for the Civic Center Music Hall and the Myriad Botanical Gardens. I also had the opportunity to manage Hornets.com while the Hornets were here in OKC. That was something I will be able to tell the grandkids about!
Post 9/11 times were hard in OKC and the country for that matter and I truly believe that if it were not for these projects I more than likely would have been out of the job. I can say with 100% confidence that it was because of MAPS that these projects existed for me to work on. Because of that I will am going to vote YES for MAPS3 tomorrow December 8th.
