I lift my hand off the covers, crossing the space between us, cupping the curve of her jaw while my thumb rests on her full lower lip. "I see you." "I know you do," Mara replies quietly. "And I want to see you." "Be careful what you wish for."

Book Review: There is no Devil by Sophie Lark

This duet is wonderful, and I couldn't get enough of it.

This was all and more that I had hoped for from Cole and Mara's journey. It was exhilarating, erotic, passionate, and just stunning. Cole is obsessed, but he also wants to offer Mara everything she could possibly want. I enjoyed watching the two of them mature and their connection become more stable. It was very fulfilling to see Cole discover what love is and fall so hard for Mara; we saw a fun side of him in this book that made me so pleased. 

And seeing Mara grow into herself even more, becoming successful and strong and proud was perfect. It’s very hard to accomplish a relationship in a book where you can feel that the characters are puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly. Sophie did that in this duet, no one fits better together than Mara and Cole and I was honored to read this story
