BACK HOME

Years spent in building others

I forgot to look my way.

So I decided today

To give myself all my time

Like I did to those

Who walked away.

I found a scared person

Beneath layers of mistrust.

I found some despair

Underneath the crust.

I took myself in my arms

And sang the way I used to then

To all the people who came to me

To confess their shame 

I held myself gently

And let myself weep.

I caressed my distraught soul to sleep.

It made me feel good

To have looked at myself again.

It took away the load

It took away the pain.

I promise I will never let go

Of the beautiful being

Inside my skin.

The thought brought

peace upon my limbs.

I watch myself and now

I smile more.

I gave myself a home

And showed the demons the door

I just finished the six of crows duology so you have to listen to me rant

I just finished Crooked Kingdom. Im so sad that this book had to end, i would do anything to read a continuation of their stories after the book ended, like their day to day life. I love the crows they'll always have a special place in my heart, i feel like Ill always compare found family books with them from now on. The ending matched all of their relationships too. Kanej forming a partnership, privateer Inej and barrel boss Kaz wiping off dirty traders, merchers, politicians and slavers is amazing, and Kaz meeting Inej's parents!!! I can write an entire essay on Inej meeting her parents after all that happened, this moment made me cry happy tears. Wesper living blissfully at the Van Eck house is so wholesome and Wylan finally getting his mother out of that asylum. Also Jesper agreeing to taking fabrikator lessons like yes. I know this might be controversial but Nina and Matthias' ending fit their situation. It was shown from the start that they are star crossed lovers( like i know they were welcomed in Ravka and everything and im super sad about it too but it was foreshadowed from the START that the author had no intention of letting them stay together happily). But I still hope Nina and Matthias can live happily in another life, they just werent meant to be in this one. They are the definition of right person wrong time. Yea im overall super happy that i read this book i have to thank the friend who URGED me with all her might to read this (im a book snob i only read classics most of the time). Someone please give books like six of crows i need MORE FOUND FAMILY books plsssss i dont know how Ill live without my crows pls give me something else to obsess over!!!

Okay so right now I am reading the brothers Hawthorne and I finally got to that one scene where phone girl talks about how her dad died the candy necklace and the calla Lillies and I have seen everyone talk about how it could relate to her name which it could but also it could mean something else

So calla lilies mean usually purity and innocence and this is the white calla Lillies it could be like phone girls dad giving her the clear sign of loss of her innocence or giving her innocence for the one she was about to lose

But another think the color is never mentioned maybe it’s black? And ya black calla Lillies exist they are usually black with a more pinkish purple on the outside and black calla Lillie’s signify mystery maybe it was her father handing her a mystery she’ll be forced to solve and also purple usually signifies royalty it could be his hint to her ?

in the end, books will all be the same

I don't want to study. I don't want to eat. I don't want to sleep. I don't want to do anything at all except READ. I have so many books I want to read but unfortunately I have an even bigger syllabus that I ought to complete soon. But I just want to read, IT'S WINTERS. The reading season!

How tragic indeed.
