Hey, everyone, happy Thanksgiving for my American folks! Small update for those who somehow still see this blog.

I'm doing better! Its been a few years of hell (actually my life ever since high school has been an uphill battle) dealing with mental and physical chronic illness as well as just family and life issues that had me in the deepest trenches.

New medication and a LOT of personal work and I'm seeing some payoff! God it feels good to love life, is this how some normal people feel? Sleeping at normal times, being able to do stuff without feeling sick, not having to take a nap when it gets painful just to function two hours at a time, feeling hungry?? I never actually knew hunger was a thing, I just thought hunger was pain and nausea until you ate. Turns out hunger is, well, hunger! Wild.

Things are still not perfect, but I think with my body they never will be fully normal. But my drive and passion has come back! I have stories in my mind and the itch to bring them to life with my words! I look forward to every new day!

God, I love love, I love all of you! I love doing things!! Its amazing! Truly never take health for granted, never take passion for granted. It's a phrase beaten to death, but you truly never know what you have until its gone. Although, I'm not sure if I've ever had this level of health. It's world changing.

I can write again! My mind and body don't feel like they've been stuffed with cotton anymore.

So this year I'm thankful for what I've been given. The option and privilege to have tests and exams, even though its been hard paying them off. I'm thankful for myself, and not giving up on myself, even though there have been times where I've been close. I'm thankful for some people I've met, even though the friends I have could be counted on one finger, and I've never been in love, I have felt love, even if its been fleeting, that helped to show me ways to move forward. I'm thankful for people here, and Tumblr itself for all its faults, to let me have support through people's words and comments. Hell, I'm grateful just for sleep! Its been- I kid you not- about 4 or 5 months without good sleep, 2-4 a night if any, and naps during the day just to stay alive. Not exaggerating.

So thank you! And I hope you all have many many things to be grateful for, even if they are small.

Hey so, what the fuck is going on with ko-fi? why are they openly supporting AI gen works. This is an artist only space, they shouldn't be allowing this at all.

Bringing this up here because I saw this post on Bsky talking about the matter.

Turns out Ko-fi is blatantly allowing bots with galleries full of GAI, specifically says not to report them unless there's specific illicit

This genuinely sucks, but I wanted to try and let more people know about this incase they are very against AI like I am. I'm unsure if there are other websites that can fulfill the tip jar aspect, but I guess it's time to start surveying our options.

Not to be political, but part of our country just got hit by a really strong typhoon. A lot of people died. Lots of properties and livelihood gone. Now there's a new one coming up that's so big even the Chinese vessels fled our sea, which is good, but at the same time, it's terrifying because they know how bad it's going to be. And with the current shitty flood control system, I think it's going to be a disaster for the areas that would be directly hit by the typhoon. Fuck the leaders of this country for not doing their job. I hope they fucking drown in the flood.

List of Gripes I have with Wembley Starlight Express

No one can skate. And I mean this, no one is stable or confident on their skates. StEx alumni just saw the show recently and have corroborated this same sentiment.

You keep putting these poor kids who play Control in danger around people who can't skate! I am worried they're going to get hurt at any given moment!

That being said, the kids are also annoying as hell, I personally prefer when Control is a voice from above and not an actual actor.

Everyone does not need to be British, especially the UNION PACIFIC ENGINE? UNION PACIFIC IS AN AMERICAN COMPANY.

Pumping Iron and Uncoupled sound absolutely ridiculous in British accents.

Also introducing GB as a union pacific is hilarious when she looks nothing like one

Why was it necessary to change I'm so beautiful to I'm so pretty? What was the point? It does not carry the same weight or rhythm. She sounds stupid as hell saying it too

Costumes are bulky and awkward, which probably contributes to no one really being all that confident on the skates.

The inflatables during AC/DC was the dumbest decision on the face of the planet. Who approved this.

Which, speaking of the inflatables, would not be great if they were pointing in the opposite direction. I know they're supposed to be lightning bolts, but-

I actually want to choke Dinah. She's so annoying. She used to be my favorite coach, and Wembley made an absolute mockery of her. Especially making fun of the southern accent she's had in previous productions. That really is in the nail in the coffin for how much they treat her as a joke.

Acting overall not good, ngl.

Singing needs some god damn work. You do not have to belt every fucking line, GB.

Hate that most of the costumes are a copy paste, all the freight looking the same, all the engines looking the same, all the components looking the same. They all have the same silhouettes. Which is not good character design, despite having different colors (except for the components lol). If it makes sense for a group, sure, but I have a feeling Gabriella Slade just got lazy doing this thrice over.

You make all these new characters and now the narrative doesn't make sense anymore, congratulations! You put more work into shoehorning Hydra into the plot than any of the other freight. The engines have zero personality or unique traits. The only characters that are "new" are the ones that aren't really new: Belle and Tassita. There was a groundwork for them from the 2017 workshop. Everyone else was thought up within 5 minutes.

This isn't exhaustive, just cause those are the things that bother me the most that I could think of off the top of my head. I truly am so disappointed with this whole production

So I watched K-pop Demon hunters and I love it! The animation, the songs, the characters, (the ships 😈) I love all! I might rewatch it to draw fanart and scenes. And not bcuz I just want rewatch it lol 😅🤣
