Maracai decided to relive his track days yesterday in my lesson. He tends to rush the jumps if he's just heading at it straight for a long time, and the jump I was aiming for was about 3/4ths down the center of the arena. So he started rushing so I gave him a half halt and he immediately started bucking. He triesld really hard to avoid the jump, but I got him over it and he just took off. It was a straight up gallop and he was banking those turns so hard my boot was hitting the sand. I sat deep and pulled back, but their only going to stop when they want to. It took a quite a few laps around the arena before he finally slowed, and I'm just glad he stayed in there because the gate was open. I lost a stirrup during it but managed to get it back. It was actually kind of fun, its been awhile since Ive galloped, and its never been on a horse quite as speedu as him.
