I finished both the first and the second Mara Dyer books. Sorry, I just couldn't wait. I loved them and can't wait to read the next one. 

For the first book I have to admit I found the ending a bit rushed and the revelation of Noah's ability quite unexpected. I didn't pick up on any clues that he had a supernatural power too, and I'd somehow thought of Mara and Noah as a supernatural/normal relationship. So I was surprised. 

The second book was amazing! The whole Jude and Dr. Kells situation left me speechless. I have no idea how the story will develop in the next book and that's one of the things I love about the series, the unpredictability. A lot of books have such predictable plots and I read them just to see if my guesses are right, but I can't even begin to guess about this. The only thing I absolutely need to be true is that Noah is well!

Mara Dyer read along progress (possible spoilers ahead):

Already close to being done with the The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, 100 more pages to go. So far it's been great. I feel like there's a disturbing supernatural part in the whole story, but it's also funny. I think Mara has some kind of "I can kill you if I wish for it" superpower, but I'm not there yet.

I love her relationship with Noah, even though his character is full of the cliched boy in YA novels (handsome with a jerk reputation, a painful past and disheveled hair). I don't mind though, I still like them and Jaime and Mara's brothers. Joseph sounds especially adorable. 

I'm intrigued about what will happen to Mara's dad and the murder case and also what happened in the asylum, but I feel like even if there is some kind of cliff hanger at the end of the book I will just start the next one and satisfy my curiosity.

Just started the first book in the Mara Dyer series. I'm half a chapter in and it feels a bit like Jennifer L. Armentrout's Don't Look Back, because of the mysterious details of how and why the tragic event occurred. Otherwise I don't think they're going to be similar in later developments.

I know I'm going to like it though because I usually like mystery solving. This is also my first read along so let's see how that goes.

i feel bad bc i started the mara dyer read along but i didn't follow through, i was reading another book alongside it and a completely forgot abt mara dyer.. mb i'll read it, mb not bc i'm traveling soon and everything is a hassle rn.. might read the book on the plane or smth tho.
