like penne lisce? very bad. why. texturally worse in every way than things with sauce lines.
also, and more controversially, perhaps, bucatini. Why are bucatini? I had a recipe that called for them once, and I don't get it. Fettuccine are great; bucatini are like squishier fettuccine but the hole is too small to get flavor into and since the outsides are smooth they're just unpleasant.
